Christine Wood, 80, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. Christine was born March 28, 1936 in Colt, Arkansas, the daughter of James A. and Lucille L. (Webb) Sellers. Christine graduated from Forrest City High School in Forrest City, AR. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Rochelle. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, and watching game shows. She was passionate about her friends and family. She loved serving others.

Christine is survived by her children: Vicki Clark of Dixon, Tina Pawass of Hector, AR, and Don (Linda) Pottinger of Oregon, IL; step-children: Donald (Joyce) Wood of Omaha, NE, Dale Wood of Rochelle and Sherrie (Jess) Neal of Hector, AR; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters: Nellie (James) Downey of Forrest City, AR, Joan Like of Colt, AR, and Pauline (Allen) Cowan of Jonesboro, AR; and daughters-in-law: Mona Mason and Gloria Mason.

Christine is preceded in death by two sons: Tommy Mason and Larry Mason; a grandson, Marvin Joe Mason; and numerous brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Rochelle, 810 Woolf Court, Rochelle with Pastor Doug Cowan officiating. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Flagg Center Cemetery in Flagg Center, IL.
