Clara L. Brooks, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. She was born on October 10, 1926 in Elbow Woods, ND, the daughter of Owen George and Anne E. Hall White. Clara worked as a beautician, and also at the Kolpin gun case factory in Fox Lake, WI, and Osh Kosh B'gosh in Oshkosh, WI. She moved 6 years ago from Hayward, WI to Rochelle to reside at the Lincoln Manor. Preceded in death by her parents, ½ brother: Joe White, and ½ sister: Mary White.

Survivors include her son: Harold (Kathy) Brooks of Kings, IL
2 grandchildren: Stacey (Corey) Ansteth of Rochelle
Taryn (Bryan Metzger) Brooks of Chana
6 grandchildren: Alexis, Gavin, Kendal, Cailyn, Brandyn, and Camryn, and her brother: Bert (Ione) White of Couderay, WI, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 - 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 3, 2010, at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle.

Funeral service will be at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 3, 2010 following the visitation, with Rev. Dr. James Tilley officiating.

Memorial has been established to the family.

Burial at the Highland Memory Gardens, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
