Clarence "Gene" E. Osborne, 70, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in Rochelle. Gene was born on June 26, 1947 to James and Myrtle (Helgeson) Osborne in Rochelle. He served in the United States Navy. Gene married Pamela Sue Stahlman on July 2, 1988 in Rockton, IL. He worked at the Ogle County Courthouse in the maintenance department for many years. Gene enjoyed woodworking, making tables and intartia animals, which is an elaborate form of marquetry using wood inlays. He was fond of giving people a hard time and the bantering that went along with it. He was a member of the Rochelle Moose Club.

In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by his sister, Fern and brothers: Tommy, Bob and Rick.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pam of Rochelle; 3 step children: Bill McGrath and Barbara McGrath both of Marshfield, MO, and Brandy Moore of Rochelle; and a niece, Linda Whitener.

A memorial visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M., Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. There will be a private family graveside service with military honors provided by the Eastern Lee-Ogle Honor Guard at a later date.
