Clifford G. Swope, age 81, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Rochelle Rehab and Nursing Center. He was born on March 19, 1934 in Compton, IL, the son of Wellington C. and Helen L. Koch Swope. Clifford married Bulah "Bobbie" E. Lewis on August 9, 1958 in Rochelle, she preceded him in death on October 8, 1991. Also preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Crystal McGinnis. Prior to retiring, Clifford worked as a truck driver for Kenar Farms Inc. of Rochelle.

Survived by his daughters: Sonja Swope of Rochelle, and Sarah (the late Rodney) Hunter of Stantonsburg, NC; 2 grandchildren: Barbara (Josh) Phillips, and Samantha (TJ) Edwards; 2 brothers: Virgil Swope of Manasses, VA, and Ronald (Brenda) Swope of Flagg Station, IL; sister, Holly (the late Greg) Moore of Salisbury, NC; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 5 - 7 pm at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle, IL. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Unger Horner Funeral Home, with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
