Clyde M. James, 70 of Rochelle, passed away on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at his home.
He was born on Oct. 14, 1940 in Selmer, TN to Jobie and Vonnie (Robertson) James.
Clyde married Lois Mae Smith on May 26, 1961 in Rochelle. He had been employed by
Caron International in Rochelle and then General Electric in DeKalb. After retiring from
GE, he worked for the Village of Hillcrest. Memberships include the National Rifle Association. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters: LaVerne Robertson and Dean Meeks.
Survivors include his wife: Lois of Rochelle; 5 sisters: Linda Marten, Ineta Butler, Imogene Jourgen, Doris Kirk, and Donna Childers.
Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, IL on Monday, Nov. 8, 2010
with Chaplain Judy Williams. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM Monday, prior to the service
at Unger-Horner. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Creston, IL.
