Rochelle

Colin Ryne Troha, 31, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. Colin was born on August 27, 1992 to Edward L. and Sylvia (Rodriguez) Troha in Rochelle.

Colin had several interests.  Sports were his world. The Hubs, Cubs, and Bears were at the top of his list but for that matter, any Chicago team or Rochelle sports team, he made sure to follow as well.  In fact, listening to Jeff Leon, on one of his many radios, broadcast any of the local sports was a favorite pastime of his.  Because of his love for sports, he was honored to help coach with the Rochelle Junior Tackle program.  He enjoyed listening to music, especially Mexican music. Colin loved spending time with his family.  He made sure to always ask how everyone was doing and even wanted to know about their pets.

Colin is survived by his father, Ed Troha of Rochelle; grandmother, Estella Rodriguez of Rochelle; brother, Derek (Gabrielle) Troha and their daughters, Lana and Lilly of Dixon, IL; uncle, Eliberto "Ronnie" (Anabel) Rodriguez and their children, Aidan and Julian of Rochelle; and many great aunts and uncles, cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Troha, on March 10, 2010 and his grandfathers, Eliberto Rodriguez and Leonard Troha; grandmother, Barbara Troha and aunt, Debbie Finkboner.

In honor of Colin's love of sports, the family would love for you to wear your favorite Chicago or Rochelle team sports attire to the visitation. The visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 11 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 244 Kelley Drive, Rochelle with Father Jesus Dominguez officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Rochelle.  Memorials may be made in Colin's memory to the Rochelle Jr. Tackle program.  Visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
