Connie Marie Troop, age 87 of Rochelle, died on Saturday December 11, 2010 at Wesley Willows in Rockford. She was born on January 3, 1923 in Rochelle, IL, the daughter of Adelard O. and Myrtle Murphy Caron. Connie married Robert G. Troop on March 4, 1944 in Roswell NM, where Bob was stationed with the Army Air Corps, he preceded her in death on April 15, 2006. She graduated from Rochelle Township High School Class of 1941, and was an Avon saleswomen for 25 years. Connie enjoyed people, loved music and golf. Looked forward to her weekly bridge club. Connie known to her grandchildren as "Grandma" or "Bunga" was quite the storyteller. She dearly loved her family and her role as wife, mother, and grandmother. Connie and her husband, Bob, delivered Meals on Wheels for many years, she played golf, was active in many clubs including, Women of the Moose, Ladies of the Church Auxiliary, Jr. Women's Club, Friendly Club, Rochelle Country Club, and a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen (JoNell) Troop of Denver, CO, and Richard (Penny) Troop of Bend, OR ; and a daughter, Cynthia (Michael) Montoya of Rockford.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rochelle.

Visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to funeral at the church.
