Constance "Connie" J. Vogeler, 76, of Rochelle, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL. She was born on Aug. 5, 1935 to Fred L. and Ila M. (Pahaly) Busse in Rochelle. Connie graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1953.
Connie married Dale R. Vogeler on Feb. 4, 1956 in Esmond, IL. She was a bookkeeper for
Northern IL University in DeKalb, prior to retiring.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved going to her Bible study group, Red Hats, book club, her morning swim with the girls, playing bridge and sitting by the pool with family and friends.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, 2 infant children: Jeffery and Denise, and sister, Karen Taylor in 2006.
Survivors include husband, Dale of Rochelle; sons: Gary Vogeler of Esmond, Jim (Dianne) Vogeler of Rochelle and Mike (Annette) Vogeler of Oregon, IL; 13 grandchildren: Michelle, Scott, Jacob, Nathan, Blake, Mallory, Nadia, Darah, Erick, Tyler, Wade, Eli, and Sarah; and brother, Rodney Busse of South Bend, IN.

Services will be held at Crossroads Community Church, 3301 N. Rt. 251, Rochelle, on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Steve Boothe. Visitation at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle on Monday, Dec. 26th from 4 to 8 PM. Burial at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorials to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Crossroads Community Church.
