Conrad H. "Coonie" Schabacker Jr., age 77 of Chana, passed away on Monday, Oct. 22, 2007
at Franklin Grove Care Center in Franklin Grove, IL. He was born on Jan. 15, 1930, in Rochelle, the son of Conrad and Frieda (Felgenhauer) Schabacker. Coonie married Carolyn Adcock on
June 7, 1952. He was a life long area farmer, and one of the founders of the Ogle County Pork Producers. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was President of the St. Paul Church Council; member and past president of Rochelle Elementary
School Board and member and past president of the Oregon Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn of Chana; sons: Terry (Deb) Schabacker and Tom
(Valerie) Schabacker both of Chana; a daughter: Karen Lowry of Rochelle, 2 brothers: Carl (Lu) Schabacker and Ronald (Gail) Schabacker both of Rochelle; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle, with Rev. Steve Woita on Thursday, Oct. 25th at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 24th from 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be at Flagg Center Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Ogle County Hospice or to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
