Curtis E. Loyd Sr., 77 of Creston, IL, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2010 at Rochelle
Community Hospital in Rochelle. He was born on Jan. 20, 1933 in Wynne, AR, the son of
John Coy and Mattie Marie (Jones) Loyd. He married Elizabeth Ann Mason on March 10, 1951.
Prior to retiring in Dec.1997, he was employed by Kishwaukee Forge. Preceding him in death
were his parents; brother: Clyde Erick Loyd and sister: Christine Martha Holden.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth of Creston; son: Curtis (Lana) Loyd Jr. of Creston;
2 daughters: Peggy (Alva) Eldridge of Rochelle and Charolet Augsburg of Creston; sister:
Patsy Ruth (Horace) Blackwood of Sevierville, TN; 7 grandchildren: Timothy Eugene (Kathy) Eldridge, Ryne Noel Eldridge, Joseph E. Augsburg, Peter J. Augsburg, Robin K. (2nd Lt. Tim Going) Augsburg, Kimberly Caroline (Chris McGee) Loyd and Lindsey Kelly (Mike Ramsey) Loyd; 2 Great Grandchildren: Hope Marie Eldridge and Kendra Elliott; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Chaplain Judy Williams at
Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle. Visitation will be from 11:00 until 12:45 PM prior
to the service Friday. Burial at Trinity Memory Gardens. A memorial has been established.
