Darrell E. Rainwater, 65, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Loyola Hospital in Proviso Township, Illinois. Darrell was born March 20, 1949 in Rochelle to Lester and Ruth Mae (Bontjes) Rainwater. He married Annalisa Plumley on March 4, 1978 in Rochelle. He worked 41 years for Del Monte / Silgan in Rochelle. Darrell loved and cared for his family and friends greatly. Along with spending his free time at the Hub City Senior Center, he also loved working with his hands around the house. He was preceded by his son, Phillip, parents, sister, Sandy Gregg, and mother-in-law, Karna Plumley.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Lisa, son, Matthew (Chenon) Rainwater, two brothers: Lester Rainwater Jr. and Tom Rainwater; sister: Rita (Ron) Sutherland and two grandchildren: Marcus and Ashley.
A joint graveside service for Darrell and his son, Phillip, will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Trinity Memory Gardens with Chaplains Gary and Donna Van Hoesen officiating. Memorials may be made in honor of Darrell to the Hub City Senior Center.
