David Ray Bamborough, age 65, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at home after a long illness. He was born on February 15, 1948 in Rockvale Township, Ogle County, the son of Paul and Elizabeth Holz Bamborough. He married Bonnie Jean Williams on July 3, 1965 in Oregon, IL. Prior to retiring, David was a printer at Hub Printing. He was an avid outdoors man, he loved to hunt, fish and drink beer. David also loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Bamborough of Chana; son, James Allen Bamborough of Oregon; daughter, Lori (Kevin) Bettner of Oregon; 2 grandchildren: Lindsey (Ronald) Ingersoll, and Jacob (Caitlyn Wolber) Bettner; great grandson, Owen Dean Ingersoll; 2 brothers: Donald Bamborough of Oklahoma City, OK, and Joseph (Connie) Bamborough of West Palm Beach, FL; and his sister, Carol Wilcox of Rochelle.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th ST., Rochelle, with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9 - 10:45 AM prior to the funeral. Memorials to the family. Burial at Trinity Memory Gardens.
