David Parker Clark, 69, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota after a complicated battle with lung cancer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Edward Clark Sr., Doris Rachel Clark neè Bowen, and his sister Janet Baron.

He was born December 10, 1946 in New Castle, Pennsylvania where he stayed until joining the US Navy (he wanted the Marines, but the recruiter was out to lunch) in 1963. He served for four years as a meteorologist and oceanographer. He then graduated from Youngstown State University in 1973 with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Accounting. David married Suzanne Hayes on May 19, 1986 in Woodstock, IL.

He leaves behind his wife, Suzanne and their four children: Amber (Scott) Turnbow of Paducah, KY, Angela (Chad) Walker of Clinton, IL, Joe (Stephanie) Clark of Victoria, MN, and Krissy (Colin) Rock of Las Vegas, NV. Dave also was proud to tell anyone that he had nine grandchildren: Noah, Ella, Aden, Mason, Colton, Parker, Easton, Teagan and Ripley.

He is survived by his two siblings: Earl Sr. and Marlene Fair.  David was also survived by his beloved dog, Saydee.

He loved golfing, sports and making spreadsheets. Dave enjoyed his work, and worked hard his whole life. Being with his family and watching his grandkids play sports gave him great joy in his life. He passed peacefully surrounded by his wife and children.

A memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6 ^th St., Rochelle.
