Obituary
DAVID W. GIESKE, 59 of Rochelle, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 at his home.
He was born on Dec. 18, 1949 in Rochelle, the son of Willard Henry and Helen Evelyn (Brauer)
Gieske. David graduated from Rochelle Township High School in 1968 and then attended
St.Olaf College in Northfield, MN. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Helen Gieske, on February 24, 1959; his step-mother, Dorthea Gieske, on Sept. 19, 1996; his father, Willard Gieske, on Dec. 24, 2002, and his sister, Mary Lou in 1995.
Survivors include a brother: John B. (Dianne) Gieske of Apopka, FL
Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Monday Nov. 2, 2009 at 1:30 PM
with Rev. Dr. James Tilley. Visitation will be from Noon to 1:30 PM prior to service on
Monday. Burial will be at Lawnridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers: Memorial gifts to
Sinnissippi Foundation.
