David W. McGill, 58, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at OSF St. Anthony's Hospital in Rockford, IL. David was born December 26, 1958 to Harold and Catherine (Smith) McGill in Rockford. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a nephew, Jeff Ewald.

David is survived by his children: Mike (Sara Lipscomb) McGill of Rochelle and Catherine (Charlie) Adams of Medinah, IL; two sisters: Cheri Stienmetz of Petersburg, IL and Wanda (Gary) Haub of West Brooklyn, IL; three grandchildren: Ryan Gronewold, Madison and Paiton McGill; and three nieces: Tricia (Ty) Turek, Jennifer Haub and Andrea (Corey) McLaughlin.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle with Pastor Nick Tornabene officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M - 10:50 A.M. prior to the memorial service on Tuesday. Burial will follow at the Ashton Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
