Deborah Louise Schoepfer, age 75, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026 at the Neighbors Health Center in Byron. She was born on May 30, 1951 in Rochelle, the oldest daughter of Delbert and Dellouise (Stocking) Byars. Deborah married Rocke D. Schoepfer on February 20, 1970 in Lindenwood, IL, he preceded her in death on August 3, 1997. Deborah enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and swimming. She loved spending time her family and her many dogs over the years. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers: Scott and Brian Byars, and her daughter, Joyce Schoepfer.

Survived by her 2 daughters, Vanessa (Drew Adkinson) Schoepfer of Davis Junction, and Melanie (Ralph) Magallon of Portland, OR; 2 sons: Rocke Schoepfer, Jr., of Leaf River, and Daniel Schoepfer of Etna Park, IL; 4 grandchildren: Kylie Schoepfer, Alice and Andie Adkinson, and Leon Magallon with another expectant granddaughter on the way; 4 sisters: Diana (Jerry) Hicks of Chana, Julie New of DeKalb, Judy (Jim) Zeinz of Rochelle, and Janet (Gary) Church of Hanford, CA; 2 sisters-in-laws: Cathy Byars of Geneva, and Rhonda Kay Byars of Ridott, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle.
