Deborah Louise Schoepfer, age 75, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026 at the Neighbors Health Center in Byron, IL. She was born on May 30, 1951 in Rochelle, the oldest daughter of Delbert and Dellouise (Stocking) Byars. Deborah married Rocke D. Schoepfer on February 20, 1970 in Lindenwood, IL; he preceded her in death on August 3, 1997.

Deborah enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and swimming. She loved spending time with her family and her many dogs over the years. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Scott and Brian Byars, and her daughter, Joyce Schoepfer.

Survived by her two daughters: Vanessa (Drew Adkinson) Schoepfer of Davis Junction, IL and Melanie (Ralph) Magallon of Portland, OR; two sons: Rocke Schoepfer, Jr., of Leaf River, IL and Daniel Schoepfer of Etna Park, IL; four grandchildren: Kylie Schoepfer, Alice and Andie Adkinson, and Leon Magallon with another expectant granddaughter on the way; four sisters: Diana (Jerry) Hicks of Chana, IL, Julie New of DeKalb, IL, Judy (Jim) Zeinz of Rochelle, IL and Janet (Gary) Church of Hanford, CA; two sisters-in-law: Cathy Byars of Geneva, IL and Rhonda Kay Byars of Ridott, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. Visitation will be an hour prior to funeral from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. on Thursday. Burial is at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle. Memorials established to the family.
