Dellouise Mae Byars, 84, of Rochelle, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 26, 1932 in Lindenwood, IL, the daughter of Ellsworth and Edna (Reints) Stocking. She was united in marriage to Delbert Franklin Byars Jr. on September 5, 1948 in Paynes Point, IL. Dellouise had a strong faith and dedicated her life to serving her Lord Jesus Christ. This was evident in the way she lived her life; praying and reading her Bible daily, hosting Bible studies, and teaching Sunday school. She loved spending time with all her family and considered them her "jewels". She always took pride in the upkeep and decoration of her home and yard. She was especially known for her quilt making and pie baking abilities, even winning a blue ribbon for her pie crust. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.

Dellouise is survived by six children: Deborah Schoepfer of Davis Junction, Diana (Jerry) Hicks of Chana, Brian (Rhonda Kay) Byars of Ridott, IL, Julie New of DeKalb, Judy Ramos of Rochelle, and Janet (Gary) Church of Hanford, CA; one daughter-in-law, Cathy Byars of Geneva, fourteen grandchildren: Rocke Schoepfer, Vanessa (Drew) Adkinson, Daniel Schoepfer, Melanie Schoepfer, Jodi (Timm) Hare, John Hicks, Heidi (Brad) Marcum, Matthew (Wendy) Byars, Mark (Candy) Byars, Cole Ramos, Jaimee (Cody) Hinrichs, Olivia Ramos, Lauren Church, and Garrett Church; eleven great-grandchildren: Kylie Schoepfer, Alice Adkinson, Trevinn Hare, Zachary Hare, Megan Danielson, Morgan Byars, Scott Byars, Joshua Byars, Emily Byars, Claire Ramos, and Brayden Hinrichs; two sisters: Donna Walk and Doris Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at Kishwaukee Hospital, Bethany Rehab Facility, and the nurses at Serenity Hospice.
