Rochelle

Denise E. Steder, 62, lost her battle with multiple sclerosis on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Prairie Crossing Nursing Home in Shabbona, IL. She was a loving daughter, sister and mother. Denise was born October 19, 1953 to Dale and Doris (Ruch) Fyke in Champaign, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Gloria, grandparents, William and Nellie Ruch and niece, Jennifer Reints.

Denise is survived by her two daughters: Erica Steder of Tampa FL and Kari (Geremy Crow) Steder of Chadwick, IL; brother, Doug (Debby) Fyke of Lee; sister, Diane (Leo) Gildea of Rochelle; nine grandchildren: Sabrina (Adam), Braden, Angel, Olivia (Kevin), Alex, Kelsy, Maisey and Trendon; one great grandchild, Liam; nephew, Christopher (Lu) Sondgeroth, and great nephews and niece: Zach, Lexi, and Tyler. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to hospice nurse, Ashlee Murry.

The visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:15 A.M., Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The funeral will begin at 10:30 A.M., Saturday after the visitation with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. The burial will follow at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
