DIXIE CHARLEEN NORCROSS, age 90, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at KSB Hospital. She had been residing at the Franklin Grove Living and Rehab. She was born December 4, 1922 in DeKoven, KY to Marshall and Pearl Marvel. She met her husband, Robert W. Norcross, during WWII while manufacturing P-47 aircraft in Evansville, IN. They were married March 7, 1945 and celebrated 50 years of love. Dixie held many accounting positions in her career and retired as a purchasing agent for Air Products and Chemicals in Calvert City, KY. She relocated to Florida and spent over 10 wonderful years with her warm and loving friends. Dixie loved playing cards, baking gingerbread houses and truly loved life with everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and her brother, Douglas. She is survived by her sons: Robert Jr. (Patty) Norcross of Trussville, AL, Marshall "Bud" (Maryellen) Norcross of Rochelle, and Richard (Bernadine) Norcross of Lenoir, NC.

Services will be private.

Memorials may be made to the Rochelle Masonic Lodge or the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
