Rochelle

Donald Dale Gualandi, age 79, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN. He was born on October 27, 1936 in Dalzell, IL, the son of Fred and Viola Ehrmann Gualandi. Don married Wanda L. Richards on November 6, 1965 in Rochelle; she preceded him in death on January 28, 2002. Later, he married Lynette Spoonmore, whom preceded him in death on October 27, 2015. He served in the U.S. Army, and then worked at the Rochelle Del Monte Canning Plant 115 until retiring in 1993. He is also preceded in death by his parents.

Don is survived by his two sons: Michael (Becky) Stombaugh of Rochelle, and John Stombaugh of Swifton, Arkansas; sister: Darlene (Glenn) Helling of Plano, IL, and five grandchildren: Misty (Chris) Lyon, Rachel (Joel) Berry, Michael (Jamie) Stombaugh II, Donald (Maria) Stombaugh and Jason Stombaugh; and many great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle with Rev. Dr. James A. Tilley officiating. Visitation will be prior to funeral from 10 to 11:00 am on Friday. Burial at Lawnridge Cemetery with military services provided by the Eastern-Lee Ogle Honor Guard.
