Donald Carl Johnson, 77, formerly of Sycamore, IL, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at OSF St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford, Illinois.  Don was born on April 6, 1946 to Lester J. and Mabel L. (Anderson) Johnson in Sycamore, IL.  He proudly served with the United States Army.

Don enjoyed traveling to see his extended family in Arizona, watching his favorite teams, the Bears and the Cubs and taking an afternoon nap in the sun.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching all of their sporting events.  He always made time to stop and play with the granddogs as well.

Don is survived by his two daughters: Jutona (Travis) Jensen of DeKalb, IL and Jami (Tim) Bruns of Rochelle; sister, Marilyn (Mick) Ingram of Cederville, IL; sister-in-law, Linda Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren: Jesse and Ava Jensen and Meredith and Jillian Bruns and several cherished nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Delbert Johnson.
