Donald "Bud" D. Moreland, age 62, of Rochelle, IL, passed away suddenly on Wed. Dec. 13, 2006 in Sweet Water County, WY. He was born on Jan. 2, 1944 in Spring Valley, IL the son of Donald Rex and Jeane (Hicks) Moreland. He was preceded in death by a brother: Larry Moreland and 2 infant brothers and his step mother: Helen Moreland. He owned and operated a trucking company.

Survivors include his companion Mary Jean Bridgeforth whom he made his home with; his former wife: Lois Moreland; his father: Donald Moreland of Henry, IL and mother: Jeane (Donald) Lucke of Kewanee, IL; 3 sons: Ricky (Rhonda) Moreland and Timothy (Laura) Moreland both of Rockford and Sgt. E8 Kevin (Tami) Moreland serving in the US Army in Lawton, OK; 2 daughters: Donna (Carl) Hagland of Arlington Heights, IL, and Lisa Ann Moreland of Rochelle; 2 step daughters: Stefanie Smith of Rochelle and Christina (Daniel) Clark of Lawton, OK; 2 brothers: Raymond (Julie) Moreland of Kewanee, IL and Danny (Cathy) Moreland of Buda, IL; 11 grandchildren: Nicholas Moreland, Eric Hagland, Alexandra Moreland, Michael Moreland, Timothy Moreland, Ashley Moreland, Kylie Stahl, Brittani Moreland, Brandin Moreland; and 4 step grandchildren: Ciarra Smith, Amanda Smith, Matthew Payne and Wendy Payne.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. Rochelle. Visitation will be at Unger-Horner on Monday, from 5 to 8 PM on Dec. 18th. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle. Memorials can be made to the Trucker's Foundation for Handicapped Children.
