Doris "Pat" Davis, 85, passed away Wednesday, March 6th 2013, at Alden Park Strathmoor Nursing Home in Rockford, Illinois. Doris was born March 17, 1927 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Thomas and Genevive (Markwel) Simms. She married Isaac "Ike" Davis on June 7, 1956 in Rochelle. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, parents and infant son, Michael. Also sisters: Stella May Hauck, Lillian McKee and brothers: Thomas Jefferson Simms Jr., Herbert Simms and Louis Simms.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Neal) Warren of Rockford, Illinois , one sister-in-law Isabelle (Herbert) Simms and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sat. March 9th, 2013 from 11 - 1:00 PM at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle, IL. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Saturday after the visitation at Unger- Horner. Burial will be at the Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle. Memorials to be established.
