Doris D. Friemuth, 89, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in Rockford, Illinois. Doris was born February 11, 1926 to John W. and Lois (Rose) Brentner in Durand, IL. She married Lawrence "Butch" Friemuth on June 5, 1949 in Stillman Valley, IL. Doris worked for Aigners for 13 years and then worked at Walmart for ten years. She also enjoyed playing piano for churches, weddings and funerals. Doris spent her life rejoicing in the days the Lord made and being glad in them. She lived each day as if she were a feather on the breath of God. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Butch, on December 27, 2000; three brothers: Harold, Jack, and Richard Brentner; her sister, Genevieve Rathke; and her half sister, Marge Flemming.

Doris is survived by two daughters: Jaynie (Joe) Lafata of Green Valley, AZ and Sue Pearson of Hayward, WI; one brother: Howard (Pat) Brentner of Freeport, IL; three grandchildren: Emmy, Jenny and Kate and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 19, 2015, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Pastor Duane Boehm officiating. The visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Monday, prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle.
