Doris M. Oleson, 80, of Dixon, IL, formerly of Rochelle, died Saturday Sept. 10, 2011 as a result of automobile accident. Doris was born Feb. 25, 1931 in Alto Township, IL the daughter of Luther and Ruth (Sanders) Austin. Doris married Irvin Oleson Aug. 1, 1953 in Oregon, IL. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1990. She was also preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Betty Beck, and Dorothy Austin, and 2 Brothers: Luther and Robert Austin. Doris was a loving mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and working in her many flower gardens around her home.

Doris is survived by 2 sons: Donald (Donna) Sarver of Dixon, IL and Dan (Shirley) Alsup of Polo, IL. Daughter: Diana (Bruce) Angleton of Dixon, IL. Sister: Vivian Watson of Rochelle. Companion: Gene Starnes. 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and expecting one more.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday Sept. 16, 2011 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street Rochelle, IL. With visitation Thursday Sept. 15, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Unger-Horner Funeral Home. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens. Memorial fund is being established.
