DOROTHY M. GENSLER, age 93, of Rochelle died on Friday, December 26, 2008 at the Rochelle Community Hospital. She was born on January 18, 1915 in Lee County, Illinois the daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Snyder Herrmann. She married Otto Gensler May 25, 1968 in St Patrick Church Rochelle, IL.

Preceded by her parents, 1 step-son Father Casper Gensler, OFM, 3 sisters Barbara Herrmann, Lucille Skelley and Lillian McKillen. 2 brothers Ambrose Herrmann and Jim Herrmann.

Member of St Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle.

Survivors include her husband Otto of Rochelle and her step-children Phil (Katie) Gensler of Amarillo, TX, Bob (Diane) Gensler of Casa Grande, AZ, Dick (Mary) Gensler of Rochelle, Bill (EJ) Gensler of Davis Junction, IL, Sr. Gael Gensler of Tinley Park, IL, Ilene (John) Deckert of De Witt, IA, Bettie Sullivan of Rochelle, Sue (Mike) Burke of Chana, IL and Linda (Scott) Huckabee of Bartlesville, OK

Many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday Dec. 29, 2008 at St Patrick Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 5 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street Rochelle.

In Lieu of flowers a Memorial has been established to Poor Clare Monastery 2111 S. Main Street Rockford, IL 61102 and St Patrick Catholic Chruch.

Burial will be at St Patrick cemetery in Rochelle.
