Duane R. Truckenbrod, 80, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at his home in West Brooklyn, Illinois. Duane was born on October 21, 1938 to Harvey and Cecelia (Buettner) Truckenbrod in West Brooklyn. He proudly served with the United States Army. Duane married Judy Boehle on July 18, 1970 in Dixon, IL. He was a life long farmer in the West Brooklyn area, and also served 45 years as a Viola Twp. Trustee. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Berniece Gittleson.

Duane is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy; two children: Terry (Tammy) Truckenbrod of Rochelle, and Trisha (Chris) Donaldson of Colfax, IL, and six grandchildren: Jacob, Katelin, Morgan, Nathan and Ashlyn Donaldson and Alexander Truckenbrod.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church, 14206 E. Flagg Rd., Rochelle, with Pastor Joy Alsop officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M., Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle, and Saturday from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. prior to the funeral.
