Eddie Mae Cardott, 82, passed away peacefully in her home Monday, November 17, 2014. Eddie Mae was born August 14, 1932 to Edward and Gillie Mae (Elliott) Russell in Pontotoc, Mississippi. She married Roy F. Cardott on June 23, 1961 in Kings, IL. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Eric Michael Kraft, four brothers: Holder, Ruey, P.D. and James Russell and four sisters: Agnes Ballard, O'Dell Smith, Laura Cox and Blanche Caldwell.
Eddie Mae is survived by her husband, Roy, three daughters: Iona (James) Case of Rochelle, Ramona (Steve) Kraft of Dixon and Renee (Burt) Lederer of Dixon; seven grandchildren: Denise (Pete) Johnson, Jaclyn (Jake) Nauman, Aaron Case, Zach Kraft, Erica (Cody) Boyle, Tyler Thomas and Ashley Thomas; six great grandchildren: Andrew Johnson, Isabella Nauman, Nolan Thomas, Beau Kraft, August Boyle and Everly Boyle and sister-in-law, Daisy Russell of Rochelle.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle, with Chaplain Judy Williams presiding. The visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 19 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle. Memorials may be made to Unity Hospice.
