Edelgard Hannelore Coleman, 70, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Rochelle Rehab in Rochelle. She was born in Annaberg-Buchholz, Germany on November 7, 1951, the daughter of Elfriede Ilona Grunitz.

Edelgard was a hard working, resourceful woman who did the best she could with what she had. She was a wonderful mother who enjoyed bowling with her children when they were younger. She also was part of many bowling leagues. In her younger years, she was an avid runner.

Edelgard is survived by three daughters: Christina Stoll, Yvonne Coleman, and Bianca Lira; and six grandchildren: Raven Brison, Mya Brison, Mia Brison, Drea Brison, Sierra Lira, and Justin Lira.

Edelgard is preceded in death by her mother, Elfriede Ilona Grunitz, and a daughter, Petra Carmen Stoll.

Funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
