Edna Mae Sheehy, 74, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 at Rochelle Community Hospital. She was born February 5, 1939 in Homer City, Pennsylvania to Sherd Jay and Amanda Nicewonger Burnheimer. Edna married Raymond Duane Sheehy on December 18, 1962.
She is preceded in death by 3 sisters: Hazel Cain, Helen Mogle and Mary Louise Stuchell, and 2 brothers: Donald Burnheimer, and Ronald Burnheimer.

Survived by her husband, Raymond Sheehy; 3 children: Daniel Sheehy of Rochelle, Carol (Charlie) Benge of Rochelle, and Jim (Annette Chu) Sheehy of Creston; 4 grandchildren: Brandon, Ashley and Dylan Benge, and Victoria Sheehy; her life-long best friend, Donna Priddy of Elk Grove Village; 2 brothers: Leroy Burnheimer and William Wayne McQuiston; and 2 sisters: Donna Lee Burnheimer and Peggy Shank.

Edna was a very generous person, and fulfilling her wishes, she donated her body to the Anatomical Gift Association in Chicago to further advances in medical science. Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th ST., Rochelle assisted the family with donation.

Memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the New Beginnings Baptist Church in Creston with the Rev. Al Roose officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the Church from 10 - 11:00 AM Saturday.
