Edward J. Rollinger, 66, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. He was born June 29, 1947 in Dubuque, Iowa to Raphael and Mary (Lynch) Rollinger. He married Judith Burrows on September 11, 1965 in Dubuque. He worked for Dubuque Pack Company from 1966 - 1981 and Rochelle Foods from 1981 - 2010. Ed was a member of the Hub City Cruisers, a Legionnaire at the Moose Club, an avid sports fan, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and NASCAR, but most importantly dedicated his life to his wife and family. He was preceded by his father. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the loving and caring staff at Swedish American Hospital.

Ed is survived by his wife, Judy, daughter, Ann (Steve) Osborne of Creston, his mother, Mary C. Rollinger of Dubuque, two brothers: Earl (Anne Laubenthal) Rollinger of Ankeny, IA and Roger (Mary) Rollinger of Dubuque, IA; sister, Juliann Rollinger of Dubuque, IA and two grandchildren: Chelsea Ann and Steven Tyler Osborne.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 10, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 244 Kelley Drive, Rochelle with Father Juan Ayala officiating. The visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. Burial will follow the funeral at St. Patrick Cemetery in Rochelle. A memorial has been established.
