Elaine M. Peters 89 of Rockford formerly of Monroe Center, IL died Friday Sept. 10, 2010 at Swedish American Hospital, Rockford, IL
She was born Sept. 30, 1920 in Lindenwood, IL the daughter of Louis and Louise Bischoff Poliska. She married Kenneth J. Peters Jan. 30, 1941 in Lindenwood, IL. He preceded her on March 22, 1998.
Elaine was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rockford, IL. Graduated from Stillman Valley in 1936. Elaine work at Adams Department Store in Rochelle, Stevens Dress Shop in Cherry Valley and Jensen Flower Shop in Rockford .
Survived by 1 son Joel (Julie) Peters of Port Byron, IL and 2 daughters Patricia (Jack) Fosberg and Nona Onley both of Rockford, IL. 1 brother Marvin (Evelyn) Poliska of Davis Juction, IL.
5 Grandchildren Dean Erwin, Dan Erwin, Nicholas Peters, Kiley Peters and Douglas Peters.
5 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday Sept. 14th at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rockford. Visitation Monday from 5 to 7 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street, Rochelle, IL an 1 hour before service at the church. Memorial fund has been established to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
