Obituary
Eleanor L. Kinn, 87, of Rochelle, passed away on Wed. July 30, 2008 at Rochelle Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Rochelle. She was born on Sept. 17, 1920
in Rochelle, the daughter of Edward and Ella E. (Schlie) Eckhardt. Eleanor married Roy C. "Toots" Kinn on May 25, 1946 in Oregon, IL and he preceded her on Jan. 17, 1985.
She was also preceded by a step-daughter: Beverly (Kinn) Haefner and sister: Ruth Ellis. She retired from Caron Int. in 1984 after 35 years. Eleanor was a member of the First
Presbyterian Church in Rochelle and the V.F.W Women's Auxiliary.
Survivors include 3 sons: Roy (Linda) Kinn of Kings, IL, David (Barb) Kinn and
Don (Diane) Kinn both of Rochelle; 7 grandchildren: Marisa Kinn, Eric Kinn, Aaron (Marjorie) Kinn, Christin (Timothy) Breitbach, Rachael (Jeremy) Hale, Janel Kinn, and Margie (Matt) Schabacker; 7 great grandchildren; brother: Bob (Jackie) Eckhardt of Rochelle; 5 sisters: Esther Wetzel of Rochelle, Phyllis Hoffman of Glenview, IL, Betty (Paul) Baker of Loves Park, Bernita Freeman of Rockford and Bernice (Darroll) Richardson of Rochelle.
Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Dr. James Tilley. Visitation will be at Unger-Horner from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, Aug. 1st. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens. Memorials to the VFW.
