Eleanor "Ellie" R. Hynson, 85, passed away peacefully in her home Monday, July 21, 2014.
Ellie was born March 2, 1929 to William H. and Agnes G. (Earle) Bain in Brooklyn, New York. She was preceded in death by Charlie, her loving husband of 65 years, who died March 19, 2012. Ellie and Charlie retired to Rochelle from Bethel, CT in 1989. Ellie lived a full life having been a wife and homemaker, customer service secretary, foster parent and volunteer. She held the post of receptionist at H & R Block in Rochelle over 15 years until 2011.

Ellie is survived by her three daughters: Wendy (Robert) Peck of Raleigh, NC, Debra (Bryan Frost) Hynson of Grass Valley, CA and Laurie (Douglas) Gay of Rochelle; her son, Peter Hynson of Colorado Springs, CO, five grandchildren: Aubrey (Pete) Comperatore of Raleigh, NC, Charles (Cora) Watson of Rochelle, Kyle (Miranda) Foster of New York, NY, John Gay of Grass Valley, CA and William (fiancé, Kristen Drought) Gay of Goose Creek, SC and four great grandchildren: Ellie Comperatore, Alyssa Stechschulte, Rhett Watson and Elijah Foster.

Ellie was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Rochelle Hospital Auxillary. The funeral service will be at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, July 26 at Faith Lutheran Church, 14206 E. Flagg Rd., Rochelle with Pastor Joy Alsop officiating. The visitation will be from 11:00 - 12:00 prior to the funeral service. Inurnment of Ellie's and Charlie's cremains will be held at a date decided by the family in the columbariam at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church in Bethel, CT. Memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice and Home or to Faith Lutheran Church.
