Elisabeth Schulz, 82, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois.  Elisabeth was born on February 5, 1941 to Karl and Margarete (Backes) Steinkühler in Duisburg, Germany.  On January 4, 1964, she married Manfred Schulz in Salzgitter, Germany.

Elisabeth had a deep faith and found great joy in reading her Bible daily.  She loved the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister and nine other siblings.

Elisabeth is survived by her husband of 59 years, Manfred of Rockford, IL; three children: Thomas (Natalia) Schulz of Meissanheim, Germany, Martina (Jeffrey) Lang of Arlington Heights, IL and Marcus (Amanda) Schulz of Rockford, IL; three grandchildren: Eric (Amanda Coleman) Wurl, Amy Ambrose and Anna Lang.
