Elizabeth Francis Bolhous, 67, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026 at Allure of Pinecrest in Mount Morris, Illinois. Elizabeth was born on February 27, 1959 in Berry Township; the daughter of Milo Hibbetts and Evelyn Stevenson. She married Darrell Bolhous May 20, 1979. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, two brothers, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, three nieces and one nephew.
Elizabeth was a devout Christian. As a member of the First General Baptist Church, she volunteered in the nursery and enjoyed participating in the ladies’ luncheon. Elizabeth was an avid reader and participated in the Creston Book Club. Crocheting was a favorite pastime. She was a librarian and teacher’s aide in the Rochelle Elementary School District.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Darrell of Rochelle, IL; two children: Matthew (Lisa) Bolhous and Amelia (Kevin) Eggenburg, both of Rochelle; five grandchildren: Morgan Armstrong, Mason Bolhous, Cody Eichinger and Emmalyn and Kellen Eggenburg; siblings: Sharlene Lysland, Caren Cobb, Cheryl Meyer, Tim Becker, and Roger Eckhardt, 12 nieces, ten nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of Elizabeth’s life on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. at the First General Baptist Church, 500 S. 12th Street, Rochelle, with Pastor Angelo Bonacquisti officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Elizabeth’s memory to:
