Elizabeth Ann Loyd, 79 of Creston, IL, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on Feb. 13, 1932 in Wynne, Arkansas, the daughter of William E. and Annie L. Hathaway Jarrett. On March 10, 1951, she married Curtis E. Loyd, he preceded her in death on April 5, 2010. She worked for Morgan Dye, Caron International and then Turner and Brass in Sycamore. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren and working on puzzle books after her retirement. She was also preceded in death by her mother, father, 5 siblings: Jewel Lewis, J.W. Mason, Lou Ellen Jamason, Faye Pesut, Edgar Mason, and 2 step brothers: Harold and Leon Jarrett.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Peggy (Alva) Eldridge of Creston and Charolet Augsburg of Creston; son: Curtis (Lana) Loyd Jr. of Creston;
step brother: Eugene (Louise) Jarrett of Wynne, Arkansas;
7 grandchildren: Timothy Eugene (Kathy) Eldridge,
Ryne Noel Eldridge, Joseph E. Augsburg, Peter J. Augsburg, Robin K. (2nd Lt. Tim Going) Augsburg, Kimberly Caroline (Chris McGee) Loyd, and Lindsey Kelly Loyd;
2 great grandchildren: Hope Marie Eldridge and Kendra Elliott and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011
at 10:00 AM with Chaplain Judy Williams. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 AM prior to the funeral service on Thursday. Burial at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle. Everyone is welcome to stop by the family home after the services on Thursday for further fellowship and refreshments.
