Elizabeth M. "Gish" Trowbridge, 93, of Rochelle, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012,
at Serenity Home in Oregon, IL. She was born on Aug. 28, 1918, in Rochelle, IL to
Charles and Elizabeth (Eckhardt) Stein. On June 8, 1940, Gish married James B. Trowbridge
in Clinton, IA and he preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 2004. She was also preceded by
3 brothers: Frank, Floyd, and Wayne; and 3 sisters: Ruth Anderson, Edna Henry and Bernita
Cote. Memberships include the Rochelle United Methodist Church, and she was a life member of VFW Post 3878 Auxiliary. Elizabeth spent much of her life caring for others, her friends,
family and grandchildren. Through those efforts, she received much happiness and joy.

Survivors include her daughter: Joyce (Jim) Manning of Rochelle; Grandchildren: Nicole
(Adam) Turner, Melissa (Jim) Gensler and Ben (Jennifer) Manning all of Rochelle; great grandchildren: Preston, Nolan, Colen, Layton, Ian, Lauren, Gavin and Regan Turner;
Garrett, Grant and Tyler Gensler and Lucas, Caden and Dylan Manning.

Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle on Monday, Jan. 16, 2012
at 10:00 AM with Rev. Cindy Marino. Visitation at Unger-Horner Sunday, Jan. 15th from
2 to 4 PM. Burial at Lawnridge Cemetery. The Family requests memorials to the Serenity Hospice and Home or Rochelle United Methodist Church.
