Ella Louise Cavanna, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at the Rochelle Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. She was born on August 21, 1921 in Rochelle, IL, the daughter of George and Beatrice Tilton Van Hise. She married Joseph J. Cavanna on April 4, 1946, he preceded her on January 2, 1991. Ella lived a long joyful life and had a passion for visiting with family and friends. She loved helping people when needed, and enjoyed baking pie's, rolls and cookie's for family and friends.



Ella worked for many years at the Rochelle Manor as the facility housekeeper, Joe and Ella were custodians of the First Presbyterian Church for over 40 years.



Ella was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. She was a Member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rochelle.
Preceded by her parents, a son: Joseph Jr., and a daughter: Ruth Robertson, sister: Lois Van Hise,, and 3 brothers: Dean, Walter, and Francis.

Donald (Kathy) Cavanna of Fort Atkinson, WI

Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, March 2, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church, Rochelle with Rev. Dr. John Hamilton officiating.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 - 4PM at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St. Rochelle.
