Ernest E. Wagner, age 85, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014 in Rochelle. He was born on September 14, 1929 in Oskaloosa, IA, the son of Ernest and Mina (Shore) Wagner. Ernest was married close to 66 years to Anna Mae Anderson, who preceded him on March 20, 2014. He retired from Caron International working as an electrician. Ernest was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 244.

He had five children with only two still living: DeWayne Mack Wagner of Rochelle, and Mark Franklin (Linda) Wagner of Rochelle; daughter-in-law, Sunok Wagner, 4 grandchildren: Michelle (Tim) Pinkstone, Matthew, Ann and Brandon Wagner; four grandchildren: Matthew, Ann Mary and Brandon Wagner and Michelle (Tim) Pinkstone; great grandchild, River Orion Wagner, his brother, Melvin Wagner and 5 sisters: Ramona Barnard, Anna Simmons, Ellen Schroeder, Esther Clarke and Marjorie Hester.

Ernest was preceded in death by three children: Michael Leroy Wagner, Ernest Eugene Wagner and Charlotte Wagner, daughter-in-law, Gale Wagner, five brothers, Mack Wagner, James Wagner, Jesse Wagner, David Wagner, and Joseph Wagner, and a sister, Lettie Snow.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th Street, Rochelle, with a visitation from 12 - 1 PM prior to the memorial service. Burial of the cremains will be at the Lawnridge Cemetery, Rochelle.
