Esther M. Mancillas, 68, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 in Rockford, Illinois. Esther was born October 5, 1947 to Strauder R. and Cletus F. (Ayersman) Marshel in Sims, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Ervin and Stanley.

Esther is survived by her husband, Jessie; son, Jessie (Michael Boland) Mancillas, Jr. of Rockford; daughter, Robin (Saro) Costa of Byron; two brothers: Earl (Carol) Marshel and Edward Marshel; four grandchildren: Antonina Costa and Adriana Costa; and Devon Mancillas and Brandon Mancillas, and their mother, Lydia Mancillas.

The visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:45 P.M., Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday with Father Johnson Lopez officiating. Cremation rites will follow. A memorial has been established.
