Esther Marie Weinreich 90 a long time resident of Lindenwood passed away Saturday Jan. 2, 2010 at her home, The Grand Victorian, in Sycamore, IL. She was born Dec. 11, 1919 in Monroe Center, IL the daughter of Olaf and Sena (Willms) Nesheim. She married Raymond Weinreich Feb. 14, 1941 in Rochelle. Esther graduated from Rochelle High School in 1937 and attended Rockford School of Beauty Culture. When Raymond was discharged from the Military they farmed in the Rochelle and the Lindenwood areas from 1946 to 1999. Esther and Raymond enjoyed spending their winters in Vero Beach FL, from 1979 to 1999, and then moved their permanently in 1999. Esther was a member of the Lindenwood School Board for fifteen years. She also worked as a secretary to the superintendent of Lindenwood School for nine years retiring in 1979. Esther was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lindenwood and active in the Ladies Aid.

Preceded by her husband Raymond on June 3, 2003. Brothers: Walter, and Robert (Doris) Nesheim; Sisters-in-Law: Diva Nesheim, and Lauretta (Leslie) Boomgarden, and Evelyn (Raymond) Saathoff. Brothers-in-Law: John Musselman, and Arthur (Louetta) Weinreich.

Survived by son Gary (Karen) Weinreich of Prescott Valley, AZ and a daughter Janet Sanderson of DeKalb, IL. Brothers Malden Nesheim of Ithaca, NY and O. Norman (June) Nesheim of Gainesville, FL. Sisters Martha (Delbert) Priegnitz of Algonquin, IL, Ruth (John) Wakeland of Vero Beach, FL and Elaine (John) Musselman of Rochelle, IL. Nine Grandchildren and thirteen Great-Grandchildren

Funeral services will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lindenwood, IL, Wednesday Jan. 6, 2010 at 10:00 AM. With a visitation, Tuesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 at Unger-Horner Funeral Home. Memorial funds have been established to Immanuel Lutheran Church or DeKalb County Hospice. Burial will be held at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
