Ethel C. Howard, age 89, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon. She was born on November 4, 1924 in San Luis Obispo, CA, the daughter of Frank and Clara Ostrowski Mottis. She married Joseph John Howard on February 14, 1942 in Kahoka, MO, he preceded her in death in June of 1972. She is also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Carrie Ann Kisner, and great granddaughter, Keighla Ashli Howard.

Survived by her son, Joseph "Joe" Howard Jr. and grandchildren: Cindy Opichka, Joseph "JJ" Howard IV, and Autumn Nagy; and 2 brothers: Frank and Rudolph Mottis.

Funeral will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 9 - 10 am Prior to the Funeral on Wednesday. Burial will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL. Memorial has been established.
