Etta "Genevieve" Meserole, 89, of Rochelle, beloved Mother and Grandmother, slipped quietly away at Rochelle Gardens on Tuesday, May 19, 2009.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1919 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Masterson) Starns. Etta married James Clyde Meserole on Oct. 2, 1935 in Wayne Co., IL and he preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1986. She was also preceded by a son: James on Nov. 1, 1989; Grandson: Randy in 1974; and Granddaughter: Michelle in 1999.
Survivors include 2 sons: Joe (Alice) Meserole of Dubuque, IA, Robert (Sharon) Meserole of
Belvidere, IL; 2 daughters: Betty (Charles) Davidson of Rochelle and Faye (Herschel) Woolbright of Loves Park, IL; 2 sisters: Lois Brooks of Fairfield, IL and Gussie Hood of Sycamore, IL; brother: Delmar (Sue) Starnes of Austin, TX; 24 Grandchildren; 49 great
grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Services will be at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 1:00 PM
with Rev. Lowell Woolbright. Visitation will be at Unger-Horner prior to the service from
11:00 to 1:00 PM on Saturday. Cremation rites will follow and an inurnment will be at New Milford Cemetery at a later date. Memorials to be established.
