Rochelle

Eva Jeanett Bryant, 78, of Rochelle, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at her home. She was born on February 6, 1943, at her grandparents' home in Viola, Arkansas, the daughter of Elmo and Bonnie (Sublett) Prewett. She married James "Spud" Supancic on March 26, 1960. She later married Charles Bryant on September 22, 1986.

Jeanett loved nature, bird watching and seeing the seasons change. She was an avid sports fan, watching various sports teams but her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren play sports. She had a competitive side so winning at board games and cards always made her day. Jeanett was creative and expressed that creativity through painting, quilting, drawing and decorating. She thoroughly enjoyed the time she spent with her family.

Jeanett is survived by three daughters, Regina "Gina" (Brian) Van Hise of Rochelle, Bunny (Steve) Miller of Rochelle, and Susie (Harlow) Jones of Booneville, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Eric (Kara) Van Hise, Kyle Van Hise, Shane Miller, Samantha Miller, Dewayne Holmes, Katie Van Hise, Glinda Jones, Deborah Jones and Owen Miller; three great-grandchildren, Lydia Van Hise, Macie Van Hise, Draven Holmes; a son-in-law, Bob Stolt; friend, Pete Arne; five sisters; her first husband, James "Spud" Supancic; and several nieces and nephews.

Jeanett is preceded in death by her daughter, Eva Gobtop Stolt; her parents, Elmo and Bonnie Prewett; her brother, Marx Prewett; an infant son and second husband, Charles Bryant.

Memorial visitation will be from 10 A.M. until 12 Noon on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St. in Rochelle. A memorial service will immediately follow at 12 Noon at the funeral home with Nick Tornabene officiating. Masks are required to be worn and social distancing guidelines should be followed. Interment will follow the service in Steward Cemetery in Steward. Contributions in Jeanett's memory may be directed to an animal shelter of your choice.
