Evaristo "George" Sarabia, 76, passed away peacefully Friday, November 1, 2024 at the Rochelle Community Hospital in Rochelle, Illinois.  George was born on October 26, 1948 in Piedras, Negras Cochulia, Mexico to Elias Sarabia and Guadalupe Gonzalez.

George worked for Rochelle Municipal Utilities at the diesel plant for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and playing pool.

George is survived by two sisters: Andrea (Arturo) Herrada and Maria Carmen Garcia both of Rochelle; three children: Virginia (Jason) Heal of Sterling, IL, Veronica (Jerry) Sarabia of Rochelle,  and Evaristo (John) Sarabia, Jr. of Wonder Lake, IL. He was blessed to have three grandchildren: Chloe (Jon) Boyers, Caleb (Chloé) Heal and Jaxson Green and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Maria Luisa Boeder.
