Evelyn L. Lund, 99, of Lindenwood, passed away at her home Friday, August 14, 2015. Evelyn was born December 31, 1915 in Lindenwood, the daughter of William and Lucinda (Reints) Holtman. Evelyn married Everett W. Lund on June 3, 1943 in Iowa. Everett preceded her in death March 29, 2006. She attended Kings High School for three years and graduated from RTHS in 1934. She was a member of Lindenwood Union Church. Evelyn worked for Caron Spinning Company and Hayes Drug Store. She is preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Holtman.

Evelyn is survived by two sons, Donald Lund, of Oregon, IL, and Larry (Linda) Lund of Wis. Dells, WI; a daughter, Peggy (Blash Wolf) Nelson of Lindenwood; 8 grandchildren, Brian (Danielle) Lund, Adam (Abby) Lund, Sam (Michelle Larson) Lund, Marc (Shannon) Meiner, Suzanne (Tom) Lynn, Carol (Pete) Esterday, Cathy Gates, and Cindy (Bill) Holloway; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Bernice Holtman.

Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street, Rochelle. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 7 P.M. at the funeral home with Les and Pat McClelland officiating. Burial will be at 9 A.M. Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Lindenwood Cemetery.
