EVERETT JAMES MULLINS, age 91, of Ashton, died on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at the Franklin Grove Nursing Center. He was born on May 7, 1916 in Compton, IL the son of Evert Joseph and Johana Sieberns Mullins. He married Doris Clark on August 4, 1941 in Missouri, she preceded him on December 28, 1968. Everett married Vivian Pettenger on January 17, 1970 in West Brooklyn, IL. Before retiring he worked as a farmer and also as a truck driver for Burch and Carmichael. He was a member of Teamsters Local Union 330 in Elgin, IL, St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Brooklyn, and a 32nd degree Mason for more than 60 years. He was also in the first four year high school graduating class in Steward, IL, and served as a justice of the peace in the 1950's.

Survived by his wife Vivian Mullins of Ashton.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, West Brooklyn with Father Edward Hughes officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday at 9:30 AM at the church. Burial will be at Twin Grove Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Assoc., Ogle County Hospice or to St. Mary's Catholic Church. Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N 6th St., Rochelle is assisting the family.
