Rochelle

Floyd "Bill" William Gaul, 86, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at his home in Rochelle. Bill was born on November 5, 1935, the son of Floyd H. and Vera M. (Johnson) Gaul in Ottawa, IL. He proudly served with the United States Army during the Korean War with the 2nd Division 34th Infantry. On August 1, 1992, he married Linda Zawistowski in La Salle, IL.

Bill enjoyed playing Euchre and Skip Bo. He was known for being able to fix just about anything and for his wonderfully embellished stories. Having barbeques in the backyard with family and friends were a favorite of his. He loved his dogs but Stella was always his favorite.

Bill is survived by his wife, Linda; four daughters: Tammy Stanford, Sandy Fladby, Nicole Cisneros and Courtney Gaul; two brothers: Richard Gaul and Larry (Nancy) Gaul; six grandchildren: Raven, Dusty, Shawn, Daniel, Michael, and Layn; and multiple great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly and grandson, Mitchell.
