Frank H. Ramsey, 95, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 in Rochelle. He was born September 25, 1917 to John and Edna (Gibbs) Ramsey in Russellville, KY. Frank retired from Rochelle Roses after working there for 37 years. On October 24, 1939 in Bloomfield, Missouri Frank and Bessie L. Hicks were wed. She preceded him in death on June 18, 1987. He was also preceded by his brother, Tom, sister, Mary, and 2 grandsons, Chad Ramsey, in 2005 and Boyd McCoy in 2012. Frank was a member of the Flagg Center Church of God.

Frank is survived by four sons: Herman (Cathy) of Rochelle, Lester (Vickki) of Rochelle, Franklin (Sue) of Rochelle and Charlie (Jane) of Geneva; two daughters: Freda (Ronald) Ankney of Rochelle and Sharon (Larry) Watson also of Rochelle; three brothers: Ed (Debbie) of Rochelle, Bill (Wilma) of Rochelle and Richard (Mary) of Rockford; 14 grandchildren: Jeff (Debbie) Ramsey, Mike Ramsey, Brian (Jackie) Ramsey, Nicholas (Missy) Ramsey, Nathan (Jenn) Ramsey, Doran Ankney, Brandi Ankney, Steve Ramsey, Missy (John) Helms, Chanda (Eric) von Heimburg, Dawn Watson, Kym (Chris) Vasey, Scot (Krista) Watson and Mandy (Chad) Dockery and 27 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle with Pastor Gordon Landry presiding. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, September 12. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle. The family requests memorials be made to Flagg Center Church of God.
